Empowering mid-career women peacebuilders for leadership roles in international peace and security, UNITAR’s Women’s Leadership for Peace Emerging Leaders Course returns in October 2025 with a five-day in-person session in Geneva, Switzerland. The programme is part of UNITAR’s broader Women’s Leadership for Peace framework, designed to build agency-based empowerment and expand women’s influence within global peace ecosystems.

Who Should Apply?
Designed for self-identifying women with 7–15 years of professional experience in peace, conflict prevention, or related humanitarian/security roles. Applicants should be ready to transition into leadership roles in global peace and security contexts.

The Emerging Leaders Course aims to:
- Reconnect women with their leadership identity and values in peace and security
- Support the development of a personalized action plan linked to peace objectives
- Facilitate peer-to-peer networking and intergenerational dialogue with senior women leaders
- Offer experiential learning through case studies, site visits in Geneva, and reflective exercises
